Ileana D’Cruz made her Tamil debut as the naive Aarthi in ‘Kedi’ and went on to star with Vijay in Shankar’s ‘Nanban’. She has given some powerful performances in Hindi and Telugu cinema through the years from Kick, Barfi! and Rustom to name a few. In a recent interview, the actress opened up about some bizarre rumours and spoke about being a victim of fake news more than once.

The actress was in a relationship with photographer Andrew Kneebone in 2018 when there were rumours that she was expecting her first child. The rumours also stated that she had undergone an abortion. In order to prevent false information from spreading, the actress clarified on social media that she wasn’t pregnant. “There was one where apparently I was pregnant and had an abortion. It is kind of sad, honestly, that people actually wrote stuff like that. It was bizarre. There was another one where I had committed suicide, not attempted. (That it’s) Very sad that I committed suicide but I survived and my maid had confirmed the news. I didn’t have a maid, I didn’t attempt suicide, I was alive,” she added.

The actress recently had a big OTT release with The Big Bull working alongside Abishek Bachchan. She has completed shooting for her next project, Unfair and Lovely, which is a social comedy film exploring India’s obsession with fair skin.
