As Kamal celebrated his 65th birthday last year, the actor was seen spending quality time at his native town, Paramakudi, along with his family yesterday. Almost the entire family of Kamal Haasan including his daughters, Shruti and Akshara, brother Charu Hasan, actress Suhasini among others gathered at their hometown to unveil the statue of Kamal Haasan’s father on the occasion of his birthday. Beautiful pictures from the event surfaced on social media yesterday but what caught the netizens’ eyes was the presence of his Vishwaroopam co-star Pooja Kumar in their family picture.
Reports suggested the two have been dating for quite some time now and the rumoured couple was even spotted together when they attended dialogue-writer Crazy Mohan’s funeral. After a while, the duo has now been spotted together at Kamal’s private family function on his birthday.
It has been over a year since the rumours about the two actors first surfaced online during the making of the film Vishwaroopam 2. However, both the actors refused to react to such rumours but Pooja Kumar finally decided to let the rumours rest.
“I have known Kamal Haasan sir and his family for a long time now. Ever since I started working with him, I have known his family – his brother who is a producer, his daughters- Shruti and Akshara, everyone. That’s how I was a part of their family functions as well,” Pooja Kumar said to a Telugu website.
Fans were sent into a frenzy last year as Pooja Kumar was spotted at Kamal Haasan’s birthday celebration last year along with the rest of his family. Seeing Pooja as a part of the family picture added more fuel to the fire and sent the internet on a frenzy.
Kamal Haasan was married to Vani Ganapathy for ten years after which he married actress Sarika, the two are parents to his daughters Akshara and Shruti Haasan. The actor was in a live in relationship with actress Gautami, however, the two ended their thirteen year long relationship in 2016.
Pooja Kumar also put to rest rumours about her role in the Kamal Haasan starrer Thalaivan Irukkindran. The actress said that she has not been approached by the makers for any role in the film.
