Ponniyin Selvan: Deiva Thirumagal fame Baby Sara to Join the Cast? Here’s what She’ll be Playing!

A Mani Ratnam film is one of the most anticipated movies for every film lover. He is a master-craftsman and usually takes time to give out a terrific output making sure the audience experiences a wonderful film. When the Thalapathy director announced that he will be making a film of Tamil literature’s classic Ponniyin Selvan, speculations began on whom he would be casting in his film. Until now, we know that the confirmed names are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Keerthy Suresh, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, Arav Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Trisha Krishnan and then Ashwin Kakumanu. The 96 actress replaced Nayanthara’s place in the film.

Recent update about Ponniyin Selvan say that Baby Sara, who shot to her fame in the film Deiva Thirumagal, and was last seen in Sillu karupatti movie is joining the cast. Reports say that she will be seen playing the younger version of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film.  Aishwarya Rai had earlier revealed that her role in the film will have a negative shade.

The team is ready to resume shooting this September post the pandemic lockdown.  The shooting is said to resume in Pune with actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and  Chiyaan Vikram. There is no official word out yet about the film resuming its filming process in September, but there is a strong buzz in the south film industry that the team of Ponniyin Selvan is hoping to restart its shoot in Pune.

Mani Ratnam  was busy with the pre-production of the film. The film’s first schedule is touted to go on floors from the 12th of December in Thailand.  Trisha’s last film with the ace director was the blockbuster Ayudha Ezhuthu.
