Ponmagal Vandhaal is an upcoming film of Jyothika, yet another film where she is the lead and looks like a million bucks in the first poster. But, what’s more intriguing is her attire. She is in a lawyer’s attire and that has created a lot of buzz. Pon Magal Vandhaal’s first look was initially a gun and a paper fan which had initially created curiosity amongst her fans.

Jyothika has either taken up subtle or strong social messages as a part of her films. In films like Raatchasi, the message was strong, whereas in films like Magalir Mattum, the story was flowing and the message of women empowerment was subtly touched upon in various scenes.

With what the first and second look of the film potrays, there is definitely going to be a straight up storyline dealing with a social. From analysing the second look, looks like it that Jyothika will be seen talking about child rape and sexual abuse cases among many – indeed the need of the hour. The release of the first song shows a little girl in the frame and we are wondering if Jyo is sporting the role of a lawyer and a single mother in the film. This could also come along the lines of Naachiyar too.

Produced by Sakthi Film Factory and 2D Entertainment, the first look was launched by Suriya in 2019. The film is directed by JJ Fredrick and the music has been composed by Govind Vasantha of 96 fame. The film will also star K Bhagyaraj, R Parthiban, Pandiarajan and Pratap Pothen in crucial roles.There are also reports that the actor might join hands with Aramm director Gopi Nainar for a new project. Apparently, Gopi Nainar has already pitched the story and impressed Jyothika with his narration. However, she is yet to officially sign on the dotted line.
