Saina Nehwal recently participated in the New Zealand Open 2019. She was however stunned by China’s 19-year-old opponent Wang Zhiyi and had to exit the tournament as a result. The Indian Badminton player ranikinv 9th worldwide, lost in the very first round of the game to the Chinese player ranking 212 worldwide, the set score being 16-21, 23-21, 4-21 respectively.

But, winning or not, when in New Zealand, never miss the beauty of it. Saina Nehwal did just that. Her husband, who is a brilliant olympian himself, had travelled along with his lovely wife to support her and be there for her. Badminton star Saina Nehwal married fellow player Kashyap Parupalli on 14 December. The sports couple tied the knot in a ceremony attended by close-knit people. While they never admitted to their relationship in the past, they had been dating for 10 years now. The two were trained under Pullela Gopichand since they were young.

It is said that both the families had been planning the wedding for a while. Needless to say, the two have been an important part in each of their lives, with Saina even crediting him for being a huge support in her life.
