‘Oosingo’: A Fun Song on Vaccines by Anirudh and Arivu!

In an effort to spread awareness about the vaccine and break myths spread by anti-vaxxers, Music composer Anirudh and Enjoy Enjaami fame Arivu have released a fun, peppy song called ‘Oosingo’. The song is a public service announcement to break myths and misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage citizens to take the vaccine to fight against the virus.

The song, penned by Arivu, was released on October 25th, by Sundaram Finance Group and was produced by Divo Music. It features a number of comedians like VTV Ganesh, Deepa Shankar, KPY Bala, Thangadurai and Robo Shankar. The last three act as the Coronavirus while Arivu and Anirudh have adorned superhero costumes representing Covaxin and Covishield, taking down the virus.

The song’s strategy and creative idea was conceived by G V Krishnan. R Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal fame directed the song’s video, and Sathish Krishnan choreographed the dance.

A day earlier, making the release announcement for the song, in a video Anirudh and Arivu funnily shared, “When they say awareness campaign, everyone thinks of something serious, but when we came together nothing serious came out of it.”

The song is a really nice initiative considering the need to spread awareness to fight the virus. Such initiatives are welcomed by the audience and fans with open arms.
