“Alia is in a great phase of her life right now. She is in love and they both are sure of each other. Marriage is certainly on the cards but it won’t happen before 2020,” a source told an entertainment portal.
Recently, when Ranbir Kapoor took over a Twitter chat as part of promoting his forthcoming film Sanju, the 35-year-old said that he will marry soon hopefully.
Alia, too, reportedly spoke about marriage recently, suggesting that she might surprise herself if she ends up getting married before she turns 30.
Last month, Ranbir in an interview confirmed that the two are dating.
“It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is – what’s the right word? – flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself. It’s new for us, so let it cook a bit,” he told a fashion magazine.
Despite the 10-year age difference, the two’s relationship had been speculated for a while now, considering they were sharing a terrific chemistry off-screen and had even attended Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding together.
The couple is currently working together in Ayan Mukherjee’s Brahmashtra and had recently wrapped up an overseas schedule. Alia has frequently shared images of her, Ayan, and Ranbir, probably when romance had just started brewing between them.
Alia in the past was in a serious relationship with Sidharth Malhotra, whom she met on the sets of their debut film Student Of The Year. Ranbir has had a series of relationships with Bollywood actresses including Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, and Katrina Kaif. Turns out, Alia and Katrina are best friends!
