‘Raja Rani’ fame actor Jai was arrested last month along with comedian and his friend Premji by Chennai police for driving under the influence of alcohol. According to report, Jai was returning in his Audi car along with friend and actor Premgi after partying at a star hotel. Jai was said to be driving the car and rammed the divider on the Adayar flyover at around 2:30 AM.

Saidapet Court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against actor Jai after the actor failed to appear in a drunken driving case. The actor rammed his car in Adyar flyover on September 21 under the influence of alcohol and arrested by the local cops. Though Jai was released on bail, he was supposed to appear in Saidapet Court on Thursday(October 5) but as the actor failed to do so, a non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued.

Jai was arrested by the police and booked under sections 185 (driving by a drunken person or by a person under the influence of drugs) of the Motor Vehicles Act and 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) of the Indian Penal Code, according to report by Pinkvilla. Jai was, however, later released on bail. Reports say that Jai was partying with his friends at a popular star hotel till late in the night and decided to drive back himself along with Premgi Amaren. Jai was involved in a similar incident in 2014 after he rammed into a divider.

Jai currently has three projects in his kitty including ‘Kalakalapu 2’, an untitled for actor turned producer Nithin Sathya and Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Party’.
