“NO evidence that I carried or consumed drugs!” says Aryan Khan to Mumbai court after arrest.

Everything you need to know about the star kid’s arrest!

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, known as the king of romance and lauded for his star presence onscreen yet again made the headlines. This time, probably, for the wrong reasons.

The DDLJ actor’s son Aryan Khan was among the eight arrested after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided a ‘rave party’ on the luxury cruise that was headed from Mumbai to Goa. They seized 13 grams of cocaine, five grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, and 22 pills of Ecstasy, and Rs 1.33 lakh.

“There is no proof of possession or consumption of drugs against me,” he told the Mumbai court on Sunday evening when presented before it. Two others were arrested along with him and taken to the special holiday court where he is to be kept under custody till October 4.

The star kid’s advocate Maneshinde argued that his client was invited to the event being held on the cruise by the organizers. “No incriminating material has been recovered from him (Aryan Khan). There is no possession or evidence of consumption,” he said further adding that he would be filing an application seeking bail for Aryan Khan on Monday.

He also acknowledged that he shall settle for one day’s NCB custody so that they can file for bail before the regular court.

Aryan Khan has been booked under sections 27 (punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance), 8C (produce, manufacture, possess, sell or purchase of drugs), and other relevant provisions of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), following the evidence by NCB that traced Whatsapp chats between three people including Aryan and the suppliers of drugs. The NCB further said the three arrested accused have recorded their statements voluntarily.

“There are five more connected persons who are under investigation and are likely to be produced before the court later,” the NCB’s remand note said.

Besides Aryan Khan, the arrested accused are identified as Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra, Nupur Sarika, and Vikrant Chhokar, the official said. Meanwhile, the cruise company in a statement on Sunday said it had nothing to do with this incident.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday said the law is the same for everyone. Meanwhile, popular celebrities like Pooja Bhatt and Hansal Mehta have tweeted their support for Shah Rukh Khan and how the popular actor has all their support and goodwill in these trying times.
