Reports have been floating around that actor Ajith Kumar’s next film will be the Tamil remake of the Hindi film ‘Pink’. Directed by H Vinoth, whose last directorial ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ was a huge success, is said to be directing this remake. However, the filmmaker took to Twitter to clarify all those reports.

“Don’t believe rumours my next project will be update soon,” he wrote on Twitter. He had earlier put out a tweet refuting that the film would be a remake of ‘Pink’ but has since deleted it. He hasn’t, however, said if his next would star Ajith or not.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Boney Kapoor met Ajith and Vinoth in Chennai to discuss when to commence the film and the possible release date. They also finalized important cast and crew of the film which will be revealed in a few days.

Sources say the shooting for the film will begin by February next year. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the music was initially touted to be composed by A.R. Rahman but looks like it might Yuvan Shankar Raja doing it. According to recent reports, Zee Studios will be joining hands with Boney Kapoor to bankroll the film.

The Bollywood film ‘Pink’ released in 2016 and left an indelible mark in the industry owing to its content and terrific cast starring Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, and Amitabh Bachchan.

Meanwhile, Ajith is currently filming for ‘Viswasam’, his next film with director Siva. Apart from Vivegam, Siva has directed Veeram, Vedalam starring Ajith. The film stars Nayanthara as the female lead and is produced by Satya Jothi Thyagarajan.
