“We met through a friend. We got connected first over text and we started talking for a while. It was about six months before we met up in person. We actually attended the MET Gala, a few years ago together and had a great time. We were just friends and our lives were taking us to different places,” he revealed.
After spending a lot of quality time together, speculations did the rounds about their romance. However, he says that their story “sort of wrote itself”. “People thought we were being coy, and so did we until we cut to now (and) we’re engaged,” he said.
PC and Nick got engaged last month with several A-listers in attendance. Rumours are rife that the couple will get married in Hawaii making it a rather intimate beach wedding and the ultimate destination goals. Paparazzi, too, will be kept at bay there. According to reports, the islands of Hawaii are extremely special for Nick as he has shot for both Hawaii Five 0 and Jumanji there, and he also loves the ocean.
News of PC and Nick’s relationship came after the two spent time together over Memorial Day weekend and were spotted attending the Beauty and the Beast Live concert at the Hollywood Bowl in May. The two also attended a Los Angeles Dodgers game together. Priyanka and Nick were first spotted together during MET Gala 2017 as they both walked the red carpet in Ralph Lauren and back then too, many were curious about their camaraderie and whether they were more than just friends. Soon after that, Nick also visited India meeting Priyanka’s mother and even vacationed with her family and friends.
While PC has mostly kept her private life low key, it has been speculated that she dated various Bollywood celebrities including Harman Baweja and Shahid Kapoor. As for Nick Jonas, he dated several American celebrities including Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. He is also said to have been with Kate Hudson and Lilly Collins. Before Priyanka, he was seeing model Georgia Fowler with whom he was first seen in November last year.
