Actors Nayanthara, Madhavan,and Siddharth are teaming up for a new sports-based film titled The Test, which will mark the directorial debut of blockbuster producer S. Sashikanth. Being produced by Sasikanth and Chakravarthy Ramachandra under the Y Not Studios banner, the upcoming Tamil venture revolving around cricket is being made as a pan-Indian film and will be coming out in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.

YNOT Studios revealed the motion poster and from the music in the small motion poster it looks like it is going to be a sports thriller of sorts around the game of cricket. The movie is titled ‘The Test’ and you can hear someone hitting a ball and thunderous shouting at a cricket stadium. The motion poster also gives us a glimpse of Nayanthara, Madhavan, and Siddharth. Although Madhavan and Siddharth have previously shared screen space twice in Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004) and Rang De Basanti (2006), The Test will be the first time both stars will be appearing alongside Nayanthara.

Nayanthara will be seen next alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan. Helmed by filmmaker Atlee Kumar, the upcoming action thriller marks her debut in Hindi cinema. Taking a pan-India route, Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara’s Jawan will release in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Yogi Babu, and Sunil Grover in key roles, while Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music.
