Nayanthara is awaiting the release of two films, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal and Oxygen. While the former is directed by her beau Vignesh Shivan, the latter is directed by a debut director GK Viknesh. Viknesh is a former associate of director Venkat Prabu, and the movie is said to be a female-centric one.

The latest buzz is that the movie is skipping theatres and is directly having an OTT release. The movie is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. While which OTT platform is still not confirmed, it is alleged that some famous OTT platform has approached the moviemakers.

The first look of the movie is said to be released soon. It was reported that the shooting for the movie was completed and the film is currently working on post-production. Some reports also say that popular YouTube child artist Rithvik has also played a role in the film. The movie is expected to release in the first quarter of 2022.

Meanwhile, Nayanthara has quite the lineup of movies; some awaiting release, and some in the filming stage. The first look poster of Rocky released recently, and it received a lot of appreciation from fans. She is also working on films like Gold, Connect and Godfather.
