The film will be a summer release, with less than a year to go. According to The Times of India, most filmmakers believe that a summer release is good for films considering this year, movies like Rangasthalam and Mahanati did well.Sye Raa is a biopic on the famous freedom fighter from Kurnool. The film’s cast, apart from Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara, includes Amitabh Bachchan, Kiccha Sudeep, Tamannaah Bhatia, Jagapathi Babu, Nayanthara, Pragya Jaiswal and even Vijay Sethupathi. To be directed by Surender Reddy, the film will be bankrolled by Ram Charan under his banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 150 crores, with cinematography by Ravi Varman and script by the Paruchuri Brothers.
It is said that Nayanthara is in Hyderabad shooting for Viswasam, the massive film starring Ajith, and is also shooting for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The team has since finished shooting for its first schedule, with the next schedule beginning on June 7.
Currently, the actress has a slew of films in the pipeline including Kolamaavu Kokila and Viswasam.
She also has one with filmmaker KM Sarjun and Imaikka Nodigal with R Ajay Gnanamuthu. Aramm 2, the sequel to the political drama from last year featuring Nayanthara in the lead, will also go on floors soon.
She also a has project with her Velaikkaran co-star Sivakarthikeyan in the pipeline. The yet-to-be-titled project is being bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green. The film will be directed by Rajesh with whom Nayanthara worked in Boss Engira Bhaskaran.
