Nayanthara is having an array of movies in her kitty and is touted to have an extremely busy 2019. She is many directors’ first choice, but, she opts for films that make sense, has a good role and potrays her in a rather good light as an actor. Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara’s onscreen chemistry was appreciated by all. However, with Velaikaaran, the duo had very minimal scenes together and Nayanthara did not sink her teeth into a meaty role too.

Hence, Siva had then suggested Director Rajesh to consider her as the female lead for his next ‘Mr.Local’. In a recent interview, Rajesh said, “After listening to the script, Sivakarthikeyan felt that the film will create an impact only based on whom we cast as the heroine. He said Nayanthara is the best choice and I also felt the same.”

He further added, “I only narrated the story over the phone and Nayanthara said she has confidence in me. We also felt that though Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara acted together in Velaikkaran, their combination scenes were very minimal but in Mr.Local, fans could see several scenes featuring Siva and Nayanthara.”

Rajesh has directed some brilliant films including ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’, ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ and ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’. Hence, the movie is touted to be a full-on entertainer. Comedians like Sathish, Yogi Babu, and Thambi Ramaiah will be seen in the film as well. Drector Rajesh further added that ‘Mr. Lical, would be the extended version of ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’.

The movie is produced by Studio Green and is all set for the release on May 1st.
