BiggBoss Season 4 fame Shivani Narayanan recently turned 20 on 5th May. She released a video on Instagram where she was shown celebrating with the closest of family and friends including her mother and her BiggBoss friend Balaji Murugadoss. Let’s see how her journey has been so far.
Shivani started her career as an actress in Vijay TV’s Pagal Nilavu in 2016, at the age of 15.
She rose to fame with her performance along with her co-actor Azeem. She was in the serial for 3 years after which she played guest roles in a few serials. She replaced Iraa Agarwal in a serial called Kadaikutty Singam, where she again acted along with Azeem. In 2018, she also became a participant of the Jodi Number One Fun Unlimited reality show on Vijay TV, along with Azeem. They became the third runner-up in the show.
Shivani moved to Zee Tamil for a show called Rettai Roja where she played a double role. She has now been replaced by Chandini Tamilarasan. Her main claim to fame came from BiggBoss Season 4 Tamil, where she was a contestant until almost the end of the show. She became famous because of the controversial friendship she has with Balaji Murugadoss inside the house. Now, she is a part of BB Jodigal, which is a reality dance show on the same channel.
Shivani is known for her daily Instagram posts which led her to an increased follower count. She currently has a fanbase of 2.8 million followers on Instagram alone. She receives more likes on her dance posts than most actresses. While most fans appreciate her good looks and dressing sense, she also gets body shamed and trolled on social media. She has received a lot of backlash and hate comments for her revealing pictures on Instagram.
In one such scenario where she received a lot of hate on her social media, she gave a fitting reply saying, “This post is To all those creeps who are posting 3rd rate comments on my comment section as well to some troll pages on YouTube who earn money and live out of making cheap contents on others .. And the very pity part about that is to hear a female voice over for such cheap trolls , don’t you feel ashamed?”
In terms of her personal life, Shivani is the only daughter of Akila and Narayanan. While her mother, Akila made an appearance on BiggBoss, her father Narayanan is not known by many, even through social media. Her father is a businessman based in Chennai.
Shivani is also an avid animal lover and has a pet Dog called Diamond. She was born in Sattur, near Virudhunagar, Tamilnadu, where she stayed until the age of 10 years.
“My grandparents lived in Chennai and we came to visit them during vacations. It was my childhood dream to move to Chennai and we shifted when I was doing my 5th grade,” Shivani said in an interview. Shivani entered the modelling industry when she was 14 years old. She said that her mother was a great inspiration for her to take up acting. When asked how she entered the industry she said, “I used to upload TikToks or Dubsmash on my Instagram page back then. A coordinator saw those videos and decided to give me an opportunity.”
Although Shivani’s mother was initially upset about her friendship with Balaji inside the BiggBoss house, it seems like they have become close friends again. In a recent interview at her BiggBoss friend Aajidh Khalique’s studio opening, Shivani said that she has gotten an opportunity to sign up for 3 movies after BiggBoss. As a 20-year old model and actress, Shivani is an inspiration to all young and aspiring girls who want to enter the modeling industry.
