‘Meyaadha Maan’ Fame Priya Is One Of The Most Wanted Actresses In Kollywood!

Priya Bhavani Shankar, a former employee at Infosys, joined the mass media due to the media-friendly talent she possessed. She then rose to fame when she first appeared on Vijay Television’s TV series “Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai”. she hosted the show Kings of Dance on STAR Vijay alongside Kavin Raj.  Priya then entered the silver screen through her movie “Meyaadha Maan”, which released during this Diwali alongside “Mersal”. It received good reviews from critics and rated around 3-4/5, falling just behind Mersal’s rate.

It was earlier reported that Karthi and ‘Goli Soda’ fame director Pandiraj are teaming up for a project which will have many leading ladies. There are now speculations about actress Priya playing one of the roles. As reported by Chennai Times, the actress said, “I’m in talks with Pandiraj sir which has Karthi in the lead. An official confirmation will be announced soon.” Actresses like Anupama Parameshwaran is said to play the other leading lady in the film. However, there has been no confirmation from her side.

Priya Shankar has also been approached for another film directed by Karu Palaniappan of ‘Poovellam Un Vaasam’ fame with Arulnidhi in the lead. The actress added, “I’m likely to sign this film too though I cannot reveal more details about it. Titled ‘Pugazendhi Ennum Naan’, the film will have music by Imman.
