Meet The Leads From The ‘Queen’ Remakes!

Awesome!

When Kangana Ranaut featured in the Hindi film ‘Queen’, it broke many barriers particularly of the fact that this female-lead, female starring film was full of heart and didn’t necessarily require a heavy male star to take her story forward.

The film is being made into four South Indian languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The anticipation is high for the same with big stars such as Tamannaah Bhatia, Kajal Aggarwal, Parul Yadav, and Manjima Mohan stepping into Kangana Ranaut’s shoes.

Their characters’ names have since been revealed, giving everyone a peek into the remakes!

Tamannaah Bhatia is starring in the Telugu remake of the film and it is titled ‘That Is Mahalakshmi’. As Mahalakshmi, the actress is wearing a silk saree, henna in her hands, and glasses along with a nose ring. Needless to say, Tamannaah looks absolutely different, and we love it!

The Telugu remake is being directed by Prashanth Varma, who made his directorial debut with Awe this year. The young filmmaker will be replacing filmmaker Neelakanta, who was initially roped in last year for directing the film.

Kajal Aggarwal is starring in the Tamil remake of the film titled ‘Paris Paris’, and she is named Parameshwari. A female-oriented film, Kajal will be leading a film for the first time and there’s a lot to look forward to. Directed by Ramesh Aravind, Bollywood music composer Amit Trivedi is all set to make his debut in Tamil cinema with this film.

The Kannada film is also directed by Ramesh Aravind titled ‘Butterfly’. Parul Yadav plays Parvati in the film. The Malayalam film stars Manjima Mohan who plays Zama Nazreen, the film is titled ‘Zam Zam’.
