Actor Vishnu Vishal has done some phenomenal films in his career. Films like Velai Nu Vandhuta Vellaikaran, Raatchasan and Jeeva were the topmost films in the actor’s career graph. He chooses very unique roles and scripts that gel well with it. But, apart from that, the actor has also been in the headlines for his personal life too. The actor’s interview about his divorce last year created a controversy. Recently, the actor made it to the headlines for his adorable pictures with badminton player Jwala Gutta.

In an interview with India Today, Jwala Gutta confirmed that she is indeed dating the actor and the couple is also looking at a potential wedding date too. “Yes, we are dating. Like i said already, there is nothing to hide. We will get married soon, and once the dates are fixed or we begin the arrangements, we will announce it,” she said in the interview.

Earlier when Vishnu Vishal was asked the same question, he stated that the couple is indeed dating and are taking it one step at a time. On March 28, Jwala Gutta took to Twitter to share cosy pictures with the Kaadan actor and said that she is missing him during the lockdown period. Vishnu Vishal too shared her post and said, “Its oki..Right now social distancing is important..pray for all.”

Jwala married a badminton player Chetan Anand in 2005. The couple parted ways after six years of marriage. Vishnu Vishal was also married to a costume designer Rajini Natraj for seven years. The couple, however, divorced in 2018.

Early last year, when the Raatchasan actor was asked about his relationship, he stated, “We’ve known each other for a year or so now. We’ve made lots of common friends. So, we often spend time together with friends.” So, are the two dating? “We like each other as individuals and anything beyond that, at this point in time, is too early for comment,” he maintained. “Yes, there’s a liking for each other, but for both of us, it’s (relationship) just taking a back seat because we have lots of work professionally.”

He also took social media by storm when he openly discussed his divorce in an interview with the Hindu.

Vishnu was quoted saying, “One thing I have realised is that there are no certainties. Anything can happen anytime. The one thing I thought was pucca was my marriage. That is not there anymore.”

He further shared that this caught him off the hook and it was very hard for him to digest this even now. He admitted that the negativity of the divorce will stay with him for a long time. Vishnu and Rajini were in a solid relationship before they got married in 2011. “I still cannot understand what happened,” he added.

Vishal said that he feels the fact that he began socialising and mingling a lot more once he got into films could have been one of the main reasons why they separated as he used to be quite an introvert. He stated, “That’s when things started going wrong. The question of ‘You’ve changed’ came into being. Somewhere along it became, ‘No, I did not marry this guy.’”

Both Vishnu and Rajini couldn’t recover from it and decided to part ways. “You can’t force anyone. I can’t digest [that it ended]. But I must. For the good of my son… (pause)… and hers. I seriously like her even today, and I know she likes me back. She is a good person, and she knows I am too. But I think, sometimes, the universe doesn’t want you to be together.”

Speculations of the reason for their divorce was rife that it was Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul’s affair that broke their marriage. However, Vishnu rubbished these rumours and cleared the air through the interview.

Vishnu and Rajini have a baby boy Aryan who was born in the year 2017.
