Mandira Bedi All Set To Make A Kollywood Comeback!

YES!

Mandira Bedi debuted in Kollywood with the movie ‘Manmadhan’ where she did a cameo. Nearly after a decade now, the diva is all set to make a comeback. The actor will be portraying the role of a cop in ‘Adangathey’ directed by Shanmugam Muthusamy which stars GV Prakash in the lead role. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Mandira spoke about doing a cop role for the second time after she played the same in the series 24 starring Anil Kapoor.

She said, “I am very particular about the roles I play, so I ensure perfection in the characters that I portray on-screen. I also spent some time observing real cops, while I was shooting for this film.”

Bedi learned Tamil to play her part with ease. “Without understanding the language, Mandira wanted to give her best to the character, so she learned basic words and common phrases that are used in Tamil. She learned from the tutors and it took her two weeks time to learn the language,” a source was quoted in the article.

The film, also starring GV Prakash Kumar and Surbhi, is scheduled to release in later this year. ‘Adangathey’ was shot predominantly against the backdrop of Varanasi.
