Actor Malavika Mohanan, who debuted in the Tamil film industry with Petta, was supposed to make her Telugu debut opposite Vijay Deverakonda, in a film called ‘Hero’, which was shelved due to unknown reasons. However, looks like the actor is all set to make her Tollywood debut as she is said to be roped into an upcoming film.

Directed by Maruthi, the buzz is that she is in for a film co-starring Prabhas. This comes along with her statement in Mumbai, where she said, “Yes, I have signed a Telugu film and an update about the same will be made soon.” She neither agreed nor denied whether the film she signed was with Prabhas. For this official confirmation, we might have to wait a while longer.

Malavika Mohanan, daughter of cinematographer Mohanan, was last seen in Karthick Naren’s Maaran co-starring Dhanush. She debuted into the film industry with Pattam Pole in Malayalam, and went onto do a few other films in Mollywood including, Nirnayakam and The Great father. She got her Kannada and Hindi debuts with the films Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi and Beyond the Clouds, respectively. She was also seen in Masaba Gupta’s Masaba Masaba. The Master actor is currently working on her second Hindi film, Yudhra.

Prabhas on the other hand, who was last seen in Radhe Syam co-starring Pooja Hegde, is working on Adi Purush, Salaar and Project K.
