This was confirmed after a picture featuring Malavika with the A lister from the set of the movie went viral throughout social media, further hyping the hordes of fans who are eagerly waiting for its release on April this year. Vijay Sethupathi, who shall be playing the antagonist to Vijay’s hero, will reportedly join this schedule as well.
Malavika Mohanan’s role demands her to perform difficult stunts, and the actress has prepared for it by training in mixed martial arts and parkour recently ahead of the shoot.
Further details of the movie have also been revealed by sources; Vijay is rumoured to play the role of a college professor with a history of violence, and substantial portions of the film will be set in a college. Malavika’s exact role is still unclear however.
This marks the second year in a row where the actress has shared the screen with a Kollywood megastar; last year she enjoyed great success alongside Rajinikanth in Petta, in which she had a short but crucial role.
Apart from Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika, Master will also feature Andrea, ShanthanuBhagyaraj and Nassar in important roles. Shooting is reportedly going very smoothly, and the filmmakers have already sold all the distribution rights far ahead of it’s release, making sure the movie releases right on schedule.
