Kollywood’s chocolate boy Madhavan has signed up for the role of a pilot in an upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’. Directed by Sanjay Puran, this is Madhavan’s third movie as a pilot. He sported the role of a pilot in the Aamir Khan starrer ‘Rang de Basanti’ in 2005 and once in a television series ‘seahawks’ in the early ’90s.

But, this movie will be a different experience for Maddy as it will be the first ever space movie. Madhavan will also be sharing screen-space with the ‘M.S. Dhoni’ fame Sushant Singh Rajput. “This role will definitely require much prepping as we are doing it with a lot of authenticity,” said Sushant to media. This sci-fi Hindi flick is expected to release on January 26th, 2018. Both the actors are supposedly working on the simulators to get the hang of what they will have to shoot for.

“I myself have a defense background as I have trained for the NCC (National Cadet Corps). And, having done RDB and the serial Sea Hawks, I know the basics.” The actor has also lost a lot of weight (11 kgs in muscle) keeping in mind his roles in the upcoming films. “I have seven films — three in Hindi and four in South — on hand and most require me to have a lean and mean look,” Madhavan informed the media. ‘Bhajrangi Bhaijaan’ fame Nawazuddin Siddique is also said to be a part of this movie.
