Turns out, Ralph Lauren had previously designed wedding gowns for family, making PC the celebrity to wear one for her wedding. The designer also designed the outfits for the groom, Nick, and his family including his three elder brothers.
“It’s about a woman and a moment. Priyanka knows exactly who she is, and so I wanted the dress to reflect, not only her love story and the romance of India, but also her unique sensibility: strong, smart, and beautiful,” the designer said about designing the gown.

Priyanka and Nick exchanged vows in both Christian and Hindu ceremonies earlier last month. The couple threw a wedding reception in New Delhi which was attended by the actress’ family and friends. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also graced the event. The Delhi reception was followed by a second one at a five-star hotel in Mumbai , which was again attended by Chopra’s friends and family. For her second reception, Priyanka opted for an off-shoulder Sabyasachi blue anarkali. Her husband, Nick, on the other hand, looked handsome in a grey suit. A third lavish bash for Chopra’s Bollywood colleagues took place at Taj Land’s End in Mumbai. While Priyanka donned a shimmery blue lehenga with a statement necklace, Nick Jonas wore a black suit.
