Venkat Prabhu direction, Vijay starring sci-fi fantasy drama is expected to be released this year. The movie has a star studded cast, including Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, and others. Music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and this will reunite Sneha and Vijay as a pair after 20 years after their romantic drama in 2003 Vaseegara.

Vidaa Muyaarchi
Vidaa Muyaarchi is Ajith Kumar’s next after Thunivu. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Trisha is playing the lead role. Arav is expected to play the antagonist role in the movie. Regina Cassandra, Arjun are playing important roles in the movie and music is by Anirudh.

Dhuruva Natchathiram
Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Dhuruva Natchathiram is expected to release this year after a long wait. The movie has Vikram as its lead and Ritu Varma is playing the female lead. Other than them, Simran, Bigg Boss fame Maya, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Parthiban and many others are playing important roles. Jailer’s villain Vinayakan is again playing a villain role in this movie. Music is by Harris Jeyaraj, this marks GVM and Harris’s collaboration after Ajith Kumar starrer Yennai arindhaal.

Vettaiyan
Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan is his 170th movie. Directed by Jai Bhim fame, TJ Gnanavel has an ensemble cast including Fahadh Fassil, Rana Daggubati, Amitabh Bachchan, Dushara Vijayan and Manju warrier. Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are reuniting after 32 years, after their Hindi film, Hum. Anirudh is scoring music for the movie again after his massive success with Rajinikanth in Jailer.

Indian 2
“Indian 2” is a highly anticipated action thriller film directed by S. Shankar. The film starred Kamal Haasan in the lead role, reprising his character Senapathy from the 1996 film “Indian.” Indian 2 was expected to explore contemporary social and political issues. Indian 2 cast includes, SJ Suryah, Siddharth, Vivek, Priya Bhavani Shankar and many others. Anirudh is composing music for this movie too.

Thangalaan
Tentatively named as Chiyaan 61, this movie is directed by Pa. Ranjith. This is Ranjith’s next film after Natchathiram Nagargiradhu. This movie is based on real life events that happened in KGF gold mines during the pre- independence era. It is based around tribes and Britishers. Malavika Mohanan and Parvathy Thiruvothu are playing an important role. It is expected to be a raw period drama.
