Popular TV & Film actress plus the host of the renowned show Sollvathellam Unmai, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan’s second daughter Shruti got married amidst closest of friends and family. Talking on the occasion, Lakhsmy was reported as saying, “Conducting a show wherein I condemn the blockage of intercaste marriages and join couples who want to marry outside they section it is only natural that when my daughter approached me and told me she is in love I accepted it with all my heart. This is not the first time. My first daughter Sharadha herself had a love marriage. For me, Caste, Religion, and Status was never an issue. I practice what I preach!”
The Shruti – Ankit Wedding happened today at Kerala. Speaking about their story Lakshmy said, “They were both classmates. Ankit is from a Punjabi family settled in Delhi and his dad is a retired army man. They weren’t going out then. Later when they were posted in the same company at London for jobs they grew an understanding over a 7-year-period which blossomed into love.”
When asked why they choose Kerala since the bride side is from Chennai and the Groom side from Punjab, Lakshmy replies, “My first daughter Sharadha had a grand wedding, even celebrities attended. My second daughter is more of a small crowd kind so we just moved from all the hustle & bustle of the city and had a lovely small ceremony at Kerala!”
