It has been one hell of a roller coaster ride for Tamil Nadu post-Jayalalithaa’s demise. A lot changed over the months beginning with Sasikala becoming the General Secretary to O.Panneerselvam resigning from his position as the Chief Minister. Post Panneerselvam’s resignation, when Sasikala was all set to swear-in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, fate turned against her and she was found guilty and convicted as the secondary accused of the disproportionate assets case along with Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran.
Celebrities from Kamal Haasan to Goutami, who were against Sasikala becoming the Chief Minister, took to social media to express their relief and happiness. Here’s what they said:
#sasikala has been convicted for corruption. She has to answer for #Amma death also Both cases don’t carry equal sentencing #JusticeForAmma

பழைய பாட்டுத்தான் இருந்தாலும்…
தப்பான ஆளு எதிலும் வெல்லும் ஏடா கூடம்..
எப்போதும் இல்லை காலம் மாறும் ஞாயம் வெல்லும்..

Kamal Haasan, in his post, said, ” This is an old song which says that wrong people do not win all the time. When time changes, Truth alone will triumph.”
There is actually no cause for celebration on both sides. Remember what the trial court judgement is and what it implies.
