Kerala Floods: Manju Warrier’s Foundation Comes To Aid!

All the details here.

Malayalam actress Manju Warrier’s foundation, Manju Warrier Foundation, have been organising fundraisers, community-building events, and in-depth training sessions for volunteers. With respect to the Kerala Floods which has left the state in distress, with hundreds perished, displaced and infrastructure broken, the actress’ foundation has stepped in to contribute towards the people’s welfare, focusing on their needs from the repercussions of the floods.

She was involved in providing relief and had visited areas in Kuttanad, Alapuzha which is one of the most fragile land areas in the world where farming is carried out below sea level. It is also one of the worst-hit areas in the ongoing flood.

The volunteers of the foundation are currently assisting others towards rehabilitating people. However, in the next two weeks, once the water recedes in the area and the situation gets better, the foundation will be providing sanitation and water treatment facilities.
According to the government data, more than 38,000 people have been rescued and evacuated from the flood-affected areas in Kerala. Medical aid has been provided to over 23,000 people. 3,00,000 food packets have been supplied by the Food Processing Ministry. Officials say that this has been one of worst floods in Kerala since 1924.
With relief work under full swing, contributions and donations are still open to provide aid to those affected. To donate to MW Foundation, here are the details:
