Keerthy Suresh To Pair Up With Rajinikanth??

Exciting indeed!

The latest buzz is that Keerthy Suresh might be paired with superstar Rajinikanth in his next. The news is rife that Rajinikanth’s next, after Petta with Karthik Subbaraj, will be with AR Murugadoss. And if confirmed, Keerthy Suresh might play the female lead.

The film is likely to be a bilingual with elements of a political film. However, nothing is confirmed so far. But it is rather surprising if true, considering just last year Rajinikanth had made a statement on him not pairing up with younger actresses.

In May last year, at the audio launch of his film Kaala, Rajinikanth said that he shouldn’t be romancing women more than half his age. “I am 65 years old. I shouldn’t be romancing heroines who are half my age. For 40 years, people have been saying that I am finished. But God’s and your blessings keep me going. No matter what negative criticism I get, I will keep doing what I can do, and will do age-appropriate roles,” he said.

Rajinikanth was last seen in the recently released Petta that had him star alongside many noted actors including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, M Sasikumar. He was paired opposite Simran and Trisha but their screen presence was way too short for it to be called supporting roles. The film, however, has been declared a hit with many still flocking to the screens to watch the film. Many say it’s one of Rajinikanth’s best in recent times, with the film being an ode to Rajini from the 90s.

His other films haven’t been confirmed yet, with him showing no signs of turning to politics, something which he had announced in December 2017.

As for Keerthy Suresh, she recently signed her next Telugu film after Mahanati. The actress’ next film is being directed by a debutant named Naredranath and while there is no title yet, it’s clear that it will have her as the protagonist. The untitled flick was officially launched last week in Hyderabad, with Keerthy making a few statements on her new project. “This will be my first film after Mahanati in Telugu and I’m glad that I’m part of this women-oriented film. Every girl will connect with my role and most of the shooting will happen in the US. Director Narendra has penned a great story and I’m sure the audience will like it,” she said, speaking at the launch.

As for Tamil films, she was last seen in Sarkar which starred Vijay and was directed by AR Murugadoss. While the film did well, Keerthy’s role was way below substantial.
