Keerthy Suresh shared a BTS video from the sets of Maamannan to celebrate the same. She was seen learning to drive a bike, playing with her dog and meeting the crowd that surrounded to see the shooting. She made a compilation video and captioned it as, ” Kodi Parakkum 5⃣0⃣ days of #MAAMANNAN! 
At the success meet movie’s composer A R Rahman revealed why he teamed up with Mari Selvaraj. He said the issues the director deals with in his films are something that were bothering AR Rahman for a long time. “For the past two to three decades, such things kept bothering me. I wondered why is this happening. With music, I couldn’t do anything much about it. So, joined hands with someone who was doing something about it. I didn’t know the film would turn out this well when I came on board. It was like an art film by my favourite filmmakers. Again Vadivelu is one of my favourites… I saw one shot of him riding pillion with Udhay. After seeing that shot, I decided I had to do something extraordinary for the film. With that one shot, he expressed a lot. That gave me the idea for the song (Raasa Kannu).”

This year she already had 3 releases. She was last seen in Telugu film Bhola Shankar with Chiranjeevi and Tamannaah. It is a remake of Tamil film Vedalam.
