Keerthy Suresh Cannot Let Go Of ‘Mahanati’; Set To Play Savitri Again!!

Best news ever!

Actress Keerthy Suresh, who recently won a lot of praise for her portrayal of late yesteryear actress Savitri in Nag Ashwin’s directorial of the biopic Mahanati (Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil), will reportedly play her again on screen! According to reports, she will be essaying the role for the second but only briefly for the upcoming NTR biopic.

Savitri and NT Rama Rao, two yesteryear actors, had shared the screen several times in that era and had even delivered several blockbuster hits together. With Keerthy Suresh almost immortalizing the role, it’s only fitting to have her accept the role again, considering how she has left an indelible mark on many.

The movie will be directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. Balakrishna, Vishnu Induri finance the project that goes on the floors next month. Balakrishna, son of the late actor-turned-politician, will take on the lead role. His onscreen wife will be played by Vidya Balan, playing NTR’s wife Basavatarakam.

Incidentally, last year, Ram Gopal Varma had announced his Telugu film Lakshmi’s NTR. RGV had emphasised that instead of making the biopic from the perspective of NTR, he will narrate it from the perspective of his wife Lakshmi Parvathi.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Keerthy has Sarkar with Vijay in the pipeline along with Saamy Square with Vikram. She is also shooting for Sandakozhi 2 with Vishal. She will also be seen in a small cameo in Sivakarthikeyan’s Seema Raja.
