Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif who was a star is last year’s Cannes International Film Fest will give it a miss this year due to her ‘prior commitments.’ The actress says she is disappointed to miss it as it is an fabulous platform for artistes. Katrina in a statement said, ‘Cannes is a fabulous platform for any artist to attend, and I really enjoyed the experience last year. While the brand invited me to attend Cannes again this year, I have had to regretfully decline the opportunity due to prior commitments.’
Kat has been busy shooting for Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos in which she is paired opposite her former beau, Ranbir Kapoor, who is also the producer of the movie. She is also busy with her other flick, Baar Baar Dekho, with Siddharth Malhotra. She said, ‘This has been an enormously busy year for me so far and I am working on some amazing projects which are really keeping me on my toes. Although, I will be missing Cannes this year, I wish that the lovely Loreal Paris ambassadors, who will proudly represent India the very best and I hope to attend next year.’
The Cannes International Film Fest will be held from May 11th to May 21st and is one of the most anticipated to event every year by film personalities!
