But as of now, before the two officially plunge into politics, it would appear that they’ve already started with their subtle digs at each other.
Kamal Haasan is currently the host of Vijay TV’s reality show Bigg Boss Tamil, which has the tagline: “Neenge nalla vara or ketta vara?” that translates to ‘are you good or bad’, a reference to the entire premise of the show – does the good survive or will the bad triumph.
Now, Rajinikanth, who has the movie 2.0 in the pipeline, and someone who will be engaging in politics, too, has given out a similar message in the film’s latest poster.
The poster’s tagline, too, is similar to Kamal’s: “Good or Evil…who decides?”
This year alone, Kamal has Vishwaroopam 2 releasing, which will then be followed by Rajini’s 2.0 in November. Last year, after Kamal announced that he will join politics, he then went on to launch it in February this year. As for Rajini, he announced his political entry on his birthday in December last year but has since not officially announced the name or party flag et al.
2.0 has Rajini back in the role of Dr Vaseegharan and Chitti the robot. Directed by Shankar, the film is a sequel to Endhiran. Apart from the superstar, the film stars Amy Jackson as the female lead and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as the villain. Music, just like last time, is composed by AR Rahman.
