Kollywood actor and politician Kamal Haasan has tested positive for the Coronavirus and has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai. The actor recently returned from the United States after launching his very own line of clothing called Kamal’s House of Khaddar.

On November 22, Kamal Haasan revealed that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. His tweet in Tamil read, “After my return from the US, I had a slight cough. When I got tested, my Covid-19 results turned out to be positive. I have been quarantined at a hospital in Chennai. People should realise that Covid-19 hasn’t gone away and must take utmost precaution.”

Meanwhile, the actor has been shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram and has also been hosting the Tamil reality show Bigg Boss 5. On Sunday’s episode Kamal said that many thought he would not be available because of his trip to America, but also that he doesn’t skip work. The actor is also working on Shankar’s Indian 2.

Kamal Haasan’s clothing line that he launched last week in Chicago is in collaboration with Designer Amritha Ram. The idea behind the brand is to create one that promotes Khadi as a textile.
