Kollywood beauty Jyothika has backed out of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s 61st film. She had, in fact, confirmed her role, heard the script and even took an advance; her backing off is still a mystery. Actress Nithya Menon has replaced Jyothika in ‘ Thalapathy 61’ or ‘Vijay 61’ directed by ‘Theri’ fame Atlee. The ‘OK Kanmani’ star who is super talented has been roped in replacing Jyothika.

 

 

But, this has been a lucky opportunity for Nithya to act in another magnum opus after her super duper hit film ‘OK Kanmani’ directed by Mani Ratnam which also starred Dulquer Salmaan. The untitled film directed by Atlee stars Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Aggarwal, S J Suryah, Sathyaraj and Vadivelu. Pairing Nithya Menon with Vijay will also be a fresh pair to look at as the chemistry will be new to watch.

The Samantha-Vijay and Kajal-Vijay pair will be seen on-screen for the third time. According to reports, the music will be scored by none other than ‘Isai Puyal’ A R Rahman and will be produced by Sri Thenandal Films.

The Vijay-Jyothika duo were last seen in ‘Thirumalai’ 13 years ago. However, fans will get to watch Jyothika in her upcoming flick ‘Magalir Mattum’ where the teaser looks promising. We really wish the power-packed onscreen couple will act together soon!
