After almost three months, the singer who is currently situated in the USA, has given an interview to Chennai Times about the entire event. Here is what she had to say:
“From what I can remember, my twitter account was hacked on the 19th of February we had already spoken to the Twitter head India about the situation. We had also notified the cyber crime department and are all set to file a FIR anytime now,” Suchitra said.
“Although it has been two difficult months, I still carry the pain of putting a lot of people, including family, friends, colleagues and folks in the film industry through the immense trouble. I am extremely saddened by the unfolding of events and the fact that I had little or no control over the graphic contents through my twitter handle offers no consolation when I think of the distress it has caused to many. I’m working on my emotional condition now and feeling a lot better,” she added.
“I am very embarrassed but more than that I feel a deep sense of responsibility and profound shame with respect to the kind of content that was being posted in my name. My account was hacked and I can very confirm that to clear the air. I have been in the film industry for the past 14 years and have made many friends in the industry but I do not have any enemies. I will hopefully move past this hurdle and I’m positive that I haven’t lost the support of any of the artists whom I deeply love, respect and admire,” she concluded.
She also added that her husband’s effort to make the entire gloomy situation into humor isn’t to offend anyone when asked if Chinmayee’s statement about husband Karthik was justified.
