According to reports, filmmaker Kranthi Madhav have been considering Sai Pallavi as the female lead even though there is no confirmation from any sides. The two would make a rather interesting pair considering they are relatively at par in the industry, with their popularity reaching heights with each projects they take up.
On the work front, Sai Pallavi is collaborating with Dhanush for the first time in Maari 2, a sequel to director Balaji Mohan’s 2015 film. The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Tovino Thomas as the antagonist, and Krishna Kulasekaran.
The actress was recently seen in Diya, her Tamil debut, directed by AL Vijay. The film dealt with abortion, simultaneously releasing in Telugu as Kaanam. She has other projects in the pipeline including Selvaraghavan’s NGK with Suriya Sivakumar. She will also be seen in Padi Padi Leche Manasu.
As for Deverakonda, he was last seen in the Savitri biopic Mahanati. He has Tamil-Telugu film NOTA in the pipeline and Taxiwaala.
