Janhvi Kapoor: I Would Like To Wake Up As Vijay Deverakonda!

The South connect!

Elder daughter of late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, recently made her debut on the chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ hosted by Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar. The chat show has often been dubbed as the platform that creates controversy, gossip and a vehicle to stardom. Janhvi, who won the infamous Rapid Fire round, impressed with her answers beating her half-brother Arjun Kapoor.

Amidst all her answers, she had a rather fun one when asked if she woke up as a male actor, who would it be. Janhvi said she would like to wake up as Vijay Deverakonda, the hero in the superhit movie ‘Arjun Reddy’. She added that she would then cast her as the leading lady with Vijay. The Telugu hit movie is being remade in Bollywood with Shahid Kapoor in the lead.

Janhvi Kapoor made her acting debut with the Bollywood film ‘Dhadak’ earlier this year, which was a remake of the Marathi film Sairaat. The was directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banners Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. It starred Ishaan Khatter as her lead pair. For her, ‘Dhadak’ proved to be a film that got her another acting offer and so many opportunities to be the showstopper at fashion events. Already known to be quite a fashionista, Janhvi has fans everywhere and it’s no surprise that there’s much more to see of this millennial.

As for Vijay Deverakonda, the actor made his debut as an actor in ‘Nuvvila’ in 2011. However, what really made him famous was his performance in ‘Pelli Choopulu’. His performance as trouble boy in ‘Arjun Reddy’ made him so popular that everyone went raving about his performance including those in Bollywood. He made his Tamil debut in Anand Shankar’s ‘NOTA’ which did average at the box office. In the pipeline, he has ‘Dear Comrade’ and ‘director Kranthi Madhav’s next.
