Dhanush’s Jagame Thandhiram is all set to release on June 18. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the story takes place in New York and it’s an action thriller with gangster elements. The director found the perfect villain for Jagame Thandhiram in James Cosmo, he had acted in many acclaimed projects including Braveheart, Troy and Game of Thrones, among others. Produced by Sashikanth of Y Not Studios, the film features Sanchana Natrajan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Kalaiyarasan and Vadivukkarasi. The film was initially planned for a theatre release, but due to current pandemic situation it is set to stream on Netflix.
James Cosmo recently took to twitter to open up about his love for India. James Cosmo’s tweet read, “I had the best time filming in India – what an amazing country! You guys are incredible! So excited! #JagameThandhiram (sic).”

The project marks the first-time collaboration between actor Dhanush and ‘Jigarthanda’ fame director Karthik Subbaraj. Dhanush had also recently announced that he has teamed up with director Mari Selvaraj for another project.
