IT’S OUT: The Official Trailer Of Nazriya Nazim And Fahadh’s Next Is Out And It Is FABULOUS!

YES!

The 4K official trailer of the much-awaited Malayalam movie of the year Trance starring Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim Fahadh has released on February 18. The trailer has crossed 3 lakhs views within a few hours! It shows the pair in a different avatar along with an array of actors including Dileesh Pothan, Soubin Shahir, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinayakan, Sreenath Bhasi and Gautham Vasudev Menon. The movie will hit the screens on February 20.
The trailer of the Anwar Rasheed directorial gives a sneak-peek into Fahadh’s character Viju Prasad, a motivational speaker from Kanyakumari. It shows two shades of Viju. On one side, he is a business tycoon-cum-motivational speaker who owns educational institutions, luxury apartments, cars, estates and even private jets. Buried within this face, a dark side. Looks like, he lives in another reality. The trailer also gives a bit of information about Gautham Menon’s character.
The film was supposed to release on Valentine’s Day. However, the release was postponed owing to a censorship tussle. The Censor Board felt that an eight-minute-long sequence in the film would hurt religious sentiments. However, Anwar Rasheed was reluctant to make the cut and requested a review by the Revising Committee in Mumbai. Later, Fahadh confirmed on social media that, ‘TRANCE certified clean UA without a single cut by the Revising Committee. See you all on the 20th feb 2020. (sic)”
Written by debutant Vincent Vadakkan, Trance is special in many ways. It is Nazriya and Fahadh’s first movie together after their marriage. They were last seen together in Bangalore Days, which was bankrolled by Anwar Rasheed and Sophia Paul. In Trance, Nazriya appears as Esther Lopez, a character who is different from her typical bubbly portrayal.
The movie also marks the return of Anwar Rasheed, who gave hits like Rajamanikyam and Ustad Hotel, as a director after a gap of six years. His previous directorial was the segment Army in the portmanteau Anju Sundarikal released in 2013. Trance introduces actor Soubin Shahir as a singer. Soubin, who acts as a television presenter in the movie, has crooned the ‘Mathayichan song’ composed by Jackson Vijayan. Other songs Noolupoya… and Raat… too were hit. Actor Vinayakan too has written a song for the movie. Sound design is by Resul Pookutty, while Amal Neerad handles the camera. Editing is by Praveen Prabhakar.
The makers are tight-lipped about the nuances of the movie. Even the trailer gives little information about the genre of the movie. Now, let’s wait and watch in theatres.
