The team comprises of V Jyothi Surekha, Trisha Deb, P Lily Chanu, Muskan Kirar, Divya Dhayal, and Madhumita, with their silver medal-winning effort in the Antalya and Berlin World Cups, enabled the team in reaching world number one with 342.6 points leading Chinese Taipei team by six points.
According to reports, this achievement gives India a big boost ahead of next month’s Asian Games in Indonesia. It is reported that this is the first time that the women’s compound team but not so for archer Deepika Kumari, who had been a former world number one in the past.
