The two have managed to keep it hush-hush in the last two days, with paparazzi attempting to take their pictures but to no avail. These are the few pictures that have been captured but their low resolution and distance make it almost pointless. The bride and groom had a traditional Konkani wedding first where they wore white and peach. The traditional Sindhi ceremony, however, was all things red and pink!
The couple left from India to Italy on November 9. The couple met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela in 2013, with reports stating that they have been considering marriage for some time.
Deepika, who is the daughter of former badminton player Prakash Padukone, and Ranveer Singh’s family began all the wedding prep months ago.
On the work front, Deepika, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, will be playing an acid attack survivor in ‘Raazi’ director Meghna Gulzar’s next. Her film with Irrfan Khan (to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj) has been put on hold till Irrfan returns after his treatment for Neuroendocrine Tumour.
As for Ranveer, he has Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simba’ in the pipeline in addition to starring in the Kapil Dev biopic as well ‘Gully Boy’.
Deepika will join her other contemporaries such as Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor as top actresses who pursue their careers even after getting married.
