Samantha Akkineni, in a recent interview, reportedly spoke about her past relationship where she was glad to have been out of it. According to reports, Samantha, who starred in Mahanati – the biopic on yesteryear actress Savitri – said that the story felt like her own story.

“Even I would have fallen into such crisis in personal life like a Savitri. But thankfully I’ve realised it in the beginning and walked out of it,” she is quoted saying.

Samantha is happily married now to actor Naga Chaitanya. Speaking about him, she said: ” I’m blessed to have a person like Naga Chaitanya in my life. He’s a gem of everything.”

While she hasn’t mentioned anything, speculations are rife that she was talking about her former boyfriend actor Siddharth. While the two never explicitly admitted their relationship, the two had quietly broken up and that’s when Samantha met Naga Chaitanya. The couple fell in love during the shooting of ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
