As we all know, Samantha Akkineni is riding high on success. She did not choose to give up on her career post marriage as most from the speculated that to be. From ‘Mahanati’ to ‘Mersal’, the past two years have been wonderful for Samantha. But, the most amount of appreciation she has recently received for would be the multistarrer ‘Super Deluxe’ and the Naga Chaitanya starrer ‘Majili’.

‘Majili’ would have definitely been closer to heart as she had the opportunity to join hands with her husband yet again and create magic onscreen. Rightly so, the magic was appreciated and applauded by and it was truly magical. ‘Majili’ was Naga Chaitanya’s first ever 75 crore film too. As the two hold the film dear, Samantha opened up about it was down nostalgia lane. She talked about how she felt the morning the movie released.

In a statement, she said, “Majili’s success was very crucial for Chay. I woke up at 2:30 am on Majili’s release day and prayed for at least one and a half hours, hoping that Majili would turn out to be a hit. I broke down after hearing the first report emerged online and cried for half an hour. I was so relieved with the film’s a success.”

It was a wonderful movie indeed.

In the work front, Samantha was earlier roped in for the role of Jaanu in the Telugu remake of ’96’. She is also awaiting the release of ‘Oh Baby’ which also stars yesteryear actress Lakshmi in the lead.
