I Still Cannot Believe That I Am A Part Of Indian 2: Priya Bhavani Shankar!

AN exclusive with actress Priya Bhavani Shankar!

It was during this Saturday’s Bigg Boss episode when actor Kamal Haasan announced that two of his projects are actively scheduled to release soon and the shoot for the same has begun. Directed by Shankar, the film will have Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar and actor Siddharth in the lead. It has also been reported that Rakul would play the role of Siddharth’s love interest. However, only Kamal had confirmed the news until recently when actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has also taken it to Instagram to confirm the news.

In conversation with team JFW, the Monster actress talked all about Indian 2 and being a part of it. “I remember meeting Shankar sir during an audio launch and I remember that it was during that time when Kamal sir announced that Indian 2 would be his last film. I was certain that there is absolutely no way I would be getting a chance to act with Kamal sir anymore. But, it was during one of those days when Shankar sir asked me if I would play an important role in the film. I decided to take up the role even if it was 10 minutes. But, little did I know that I would be listening to a two-hour narration of a pivotal role I would be playing.”

Priya begins shooting for her first schedule in August. But, how nervous is she to actor with Kamal Haasan? “He is Ulaganayagan, you know? Of course, I’m excited to act with him and learn so much from him. I remember dancing to the tunes of Akkada song from Indian when I was 5. Today, I’m a part of it’s sequel. It’s surreal, this moment,” says Priya.

Priya further adds that director Shankar is a human being worth knowing. “The best thing about Shankar sir is that he respects every single person in the team. He is warm, sweet and easily one of the sweetest human beings I have ever met,” says Priya.
