The movie could have turned out completely different, however, as Samantha revealed at a promotional event for the movie.
Samantha had initially rejected the film when approached by Dil Raju, but soon was convinced by the producer himself, when he approached her the second time.
The actress said, “When Dil Raju approached me first, I outrightly rejected the film and said that I can’t do it. But, thank you Raju sir for asking me the second time. I could feel that we were creating magic every day on the set. We are recreating a classic film in Telugu. I feel that I should talk less before the release. But, I am sure I’ll take more about the film after February 7.”
She was also very grateful to the rest of the team, including director C. Prem Kumar, who directed the original, and co-star Sharwanand.
On the performance of her co-star, she said, “Thank you Sharwa for being my Ram. If there’s any credit to my acting, it should go to Sharwa. It is because of him. We made a strong team.”
She further added, “As Vamsi (Paidipally) garu said, I am extremely nervous about each film. I do not want to disappoint my fans ever and hence I am scared every day of the shoot.”
Apart from Jaanu’s Valentine’s day debut in cinemas, Samantha is currently awaiting the release of the second season of Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.’s Amazon Prime series The Family Man, which will be her digital debut. Despite Jaanu looking like her only movie of the year, fans still have a lot to look forward to!
