Aditi Shankar, daughter of director Shankar, is all set to make her Tamil film debut with Muthaiya’s Viruman, co-starring Karthi. She was also recently seen in Chennai’s Chess Olympiad anthem, where she was the lead dancer. The audio launch of Viruman took place yesterday in Madurai, where Suriya, the Producer, was also present to support his brother.

In a recent interview, Aditi Shankar has opened up about her debut. “I feel honoured that I am entering the same industry as my father. I have given my best and I hope I make him really proud,” she said. Talking about her future in the film industry, she said, “Yes definitely I will continue Tamil cinema not only Tamil I think language is just a barrier. If any good project good script I am open to do.”

Viruman is all set to be released in theatres on August 12th. It was supposed to be released at the end of the month, but the release was preponed. Apart from ‘Viruman’, Aditi will be also seen in ‘Maaveeran’ alongside South superstar actor Sivakarthikeyan and will be helmed by Madonne Ashwin.

Previously, Aditi also made her singing debut. Aditi announced on her official Twitter account that she will be making her singing debut in the Telugu film ‘Ghani.’ She also disclosed the song’s title: ‘Romeo Juliet.’ “My singing debut,” she tweeted. I’ve been wanting to share this with you all for a long time. Another dream realised. Thank you very much for believing in me and providing me this opportunity, @MusicThaman sir. I hope you enjoy it. #ghani #romeojuliet #debutsinging’  She also tweeted a poster for the song, which stated that it would be released on February 8. Take a look at her tweet below!
