Hyderabad: Man Arrested For Creating A Fake ‘Sex Worker’ Profile Of A Woman Who Rejected Him!

Man arrested after posting obscene morphed pictures of ex-classmate after she rejected his proposal.

A 23-year-old man from Hyderabad was arrested on Saturday for sexually harassing his ex-classmate by posting morphed obscene pictures of her. He was booked under the under 419 IPC and Section 66 and 67 of the Information and Technology Act for sexual harassment in electronic form by stalking. 

After having been blocked by the victim on WhatsApp, the accused, Naveen Kumar decided to create a fake profile under the name of the victim where he posted obscene morphed pictures of her. He even began collecting money from people in return for sexual favours, he reportedly used PhonePe, Google Pay and SBI accounts for the people to deposit money. 

The victim and the accused were classmates at the JVS Chaitanya College in Kothagudem. He was reportedly “in love” with the victim but she did not take much interest in the subject which angered the accused. After, which he started sending disrespectful and unscrupulous messages on WhatsApp to her, eventually getting himself blocked. 

It wasn’t long before the fake profile was brought to the attention of the victim, she filed a complaint immediately with the Rachakonda police. Soon enough, the accused was nabbed by the police. It is being said that the he had held a grudge on her for rejecting his advances while in college.
