Here’s Why Nayanthara Backed Out Of Mani Ratnam’s Next!

We knew it!

Nayanthara has been on top of her game professionally and personally. While we are expecting the release of ‘Kolaiyudhir Kalam’ and ‘Mr. Local’ in May, she was supposed to commit to Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ and although it was not officially announced, she was to be a part of it. However, Nayan has backed out of it the last minute and the reason is super thrilling.

According to reports, Nayanthara is finally all set to tie the knot with her longest time beau Vignesh Shivan. In fact, the couple and their family are reportedly already in talks. Few senior film journalists have also reported that Vignesh Shivan has requested Nayan to not commit with any further films until the wedding is done.

However, none of these are confirmed reports yet. But, what’s reported is that Nayanthara will be replaced my none other than Anushka Shetty in the film. Although most of the star cast has been out, Mani Ratnam has not let out the complete list of his next. Until official confirmations, we have no further reports yet. But, Mani Ratnam’s combo with Anushka Shetty will be super interesting to watch.

Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ has reportedly Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram and Karthi as male leads while Keerthy Suresh, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as of now. Whether it is Anushka or Nayanthara – it will be confirmed soon by the team.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan may never talk about their relationship in public but they sure do convey their love for each through various other ways and one fine example would be social media.

On the work front, Nayan awaits the release of Sivakarthikeyan starrer ‘Mr. Local’ and ‘Kolaiyudhir Kalam’ while Vignesh Shivan will soon begin directing Sivakarthikeyan’s next produced by Lyca Productions. The film’s music will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
