Here’s what Samantha said about Naga Chaitanya on Koffee with Karan!

Calls him ‘Ex-Husband’

Samantha has reached great heights after acting in The Family Man 2, and now she has also been invited as a guest on Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan. The actor made her debut on the show with Akshay Kumar, who carried her into the sets as a grand entry. Karan has been all praises for her during the course of the episode.

Speaking about Nayanthara, Samantha said, “We worked together recently on a movie, and it was a wonderful experience. She is Kollywood’s top actress and we cried on the last day of our shooting, before parting ways.” Karan then went onto ask about her divorce and refered to Naga Chaitanya as her ‘Husband’. With a grim and a cough, Samantha corrected him oncamera saying ‘Ex-Husband’.

She then also went onto say that they still have hard feelings and that if they were put in a room together, all sharp objects should be hidden. She expects that sometime in the future the situation between the two may actually amicable.

She also then goes on and blames Karan for unhappy marriages. “You have marketed the idea of marriage, portraying life to be K3G. When in fact the reality is KGF,” she said to Karan while calling out his cliche rom-com movies. She also said that she is not open to LOVE as of now.

Speaking about The Family Man 2 she shared that she did it only as a challenge, and that Family Man 1 hadn’t released when she had committed. She shared that she wanted to do a tough role to prove that she’s not just a cute bubbly girl always.

When asked what was the worst piece of troll she read about herself she said, “That I took 250 crores of alimony.” During the rapid fire she shared that she was forced to come to acting because things were hard at home and they didn’t have the money to fund her education.

On the work front, Samantha is awaiting the release of Shaakunthalam and is working on Kushi and Yashoda. Recently it was also reported that Samantha Ruth Prabhu is all set to grace the Indian Film Festival Melbourne which is is all set to flag off on August 12th. According to the agenda, the Yashoda actor will meet her fans in the Capital city of the Victorian State of Australia. She will also deliver an in-conversation chat live with her audience about her journey as an actor, on August 13.
